Job summary

ESF Camps is seeking a Program Director to lead assigned residential programs year-round. You will oversee program operations, participant experience, staff management, enrollment growth, financial performance, and stakeholder relationships with university partners, families, and seasonal staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Higher Education, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership experience in youth programs, education, summer programs, residential programs, student affairs, events, or related industries.
• Demonstrated experience managing budgets, staff, operations, and stakeholder relationships.
• Strong organizational, communication, and project management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience supervising and developing staff teams.
• Ability to travel and be on-site during assigned program operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the recruitment, selection, hiring, onboarding, training, supervision, and evaluation of seasonal and program staff.
• Develop staffing plans based on enrollment projections and program needs.
• Partner with the TOPs division and internal departments to attract and retain high-quality staff.
• Conduct interviews, hiring events, and candidate outreach activities throughout the year.
• Create and facilitate staff training programs that promote safety, customer service, leadership, and operational excellence.
• Provide coaching, mentorship, and performance management to seasonal and year-round team members.
• Foster a positive team culture that supports engagement, accountability, and professional development.
