Job summary

Logan River Academy LLC seeks a Director of Residential & Recreation Services to lead non-education direct-care staff, ensuring 24-7-365 safety and coverage in activity and sleeping areas on- and off-campus. The role collaborates with MEC on strategic planning, resource allocation, and performance improvement.

The position reports to the Executive Director and involves coordinating with a Scheduler and implementing CQI action plans across departments to improve outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• Minimum of two years of experience in a behavioral health job, preferably with adolescents in a Residential Treatment Center.
• Strong communication skills: Listening, Speaking, and De-escalation.

Responsibilities

• Design training modules with Directors and SRCs.
• Conduct initial trainings personally to bond with RCs.
• Perform OTMSS (Orientation, Training, Monitoring, Supervision, Support) daily.
• Holds staff accountable for conduct per Handbooks.
• Group students in activities with guidance from Clinical & Education Directors and match staff strengths to student needs.
• Investigate critical incidents involving residents and staff.
• Notify Compliance and the Executive Director of high-risk issues and track trends.
