Job summary

Hudson Milestones is seeking a strategic, mission-driven Director of Residential Operations to oversee multiple residential sites in Hudson County, NJ. You will guide program quality, licensing compliance, daily operations, and staff performance to deliver person-centered care.

The role emphasizes leadership, collaboration with families, guardians, and care teams, plus ongoing development of staff and services, with on-site presence and crisis support as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social services or related field is required.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in residential programs for individuals with developmental disabilities.
• 5+ years of supervisory experience including managerial/administrative roles.
• Strong communication, organizational, and leadership abilities.
• Valid NJ Driver’s License and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations across residential sites.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Manage budgets, staffing, and quality improvement systems.
• Collaborate with internal departments.
• Partner with families, guardians, and care teams to support individual needs and service goals.
• Maintain a visible, professional presence in residential programs and support staff in real-time.
• Support crisis response, incident reviews, and corrective action planning.
• Identify referral opportunities for individuals who may benefit from residential services.
• Lead, coach, and inspire a dedicated team.
