Job summary

You will design programs, mentor staff, manage budgets, foster community connections, and advocate for residents in a compassionate, team-based environment. This role offers growth opportunities within a supportive long-term care setting.

Qualifications

• ADC or CTRS certification is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Therapeutic Recreation or equivalent management training.
• Minimum 2 years of social or recreational programming experience in the past 5 years.
• At least 1 year full-time experience in healthcare activities.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement a diverse calendar of physical, social, cognitive, and creative activities tailored to residents' preferences and care goals.
• Supervise recreation staff and volunteers; recruit, onboard, mentor, and provide ongoing training.
• Prepare, monitor, and manage the annual recreation budget; source equipment and supplies.
• Collaborate with the care team to develop individualized care plans and assess residents’ progress.
• Engage families and community partners to enrich on-site and off-site events.
