Convalarium Care Center in Dublin, Ohio is seeking an Activities Director to design and lead a comprehensive program that promotes physical, social, and cognitive well‑being for residents.

You will supervise staff and volunteers, develop monthly calendars, collaborate with nursing and dietary teams, and manage the activities budget to maintain high‑quality programs. The role also involves engaging families and the local community, planning special events, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Recreation, Therapeutic Recreation, Gerontology, Social Work, or related field.
• CTRS or ADC certification is an advantage.
• 3–5 years of experience in recreation therapy or activities programming in healthcare/long-term care.
• At least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of state and federal regulations for long-term care facilities.
• Budget management and resource allocation experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and evaluate a diverse activity program for residents.
• Create monthly calendars balancing physical, intellectual, social, and spiritual activities.
• Lead and train activities staff and volunteers.
• Collaborate with nursing, dietary, and social services to integrate care plans.
• Manage department budget and resources.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and documentation.
• Engage families and community organizations in programs.
