Job summary

CommuniCare is seeking an Activities Director at Allen View Healthcare Center in Springfield, OH. The role leads the activities team to design and evaluate engaging, resident-centered programs aligned with residents' needs and rights.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Therapeutic Recreation or a 90-hour course, with prior healthcare management experience. An active driver's license may be required; on-site work with benefits and PTO is provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in therapeutic recreation or related field, or 90-hour activity professional course.
• Prior management or supervisory experience in a healthcare environment.
• Knowledge of activity practices, standards, and relevant state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, coordinate, and evaluate resident-centered activities.
• Involve residents in planning and advocate for their needs and rights.
• Participate in meetings with residents, families, and staff; maintain records.
