Job summary

AbbVie seeks a Director of Regulatory Business Development to lead regulatory assessments, due diligence and strategy for in-licensing, out-licensing, co-development and acquisitions. You will coordinate cross-functional teams across US and international markets to support business development with regulatory insights, risk analyses and deal execution.

The role requires a strong background in regulatory affairs, strategic leadership, and proven negotiation skills within a complex matrix

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in life sciences (pharmacy, biology, chemistry, pharmacology) or related subject.
7+ years regulatory experience; US/Canada drug development experience.
Strong communication and proactive negotiation skills.
Experience in a complex, matrix environment with multiple stakeholders and cross-functional influence.

Responsibilities

Prepare regulatory scientific assessments for in-license/out-license, R&D collaborations and acquisitions.
Lead GRS evaluations and recommendations for venture opportunities.
Support out-license/divestiture of development-stage compounds or marketed products.
Develop regulatory strategy inputs into development plans, commercialization and product concepts.
Coordinate regulatory activities with internal and external stakeholders and manage related budgets.
