Meta designs, builds, leases, and operates the most innovative and efficient data centers. Meta seeks a Director of Regional Development to develop its global data center portfolio in line with strategic objectives to advance AI, with overall regional responsibility for capacity development.

You will lead cross-functional teams across design, engineering, construction, network, and legal to execute aggressive capacity targets while mitigating risk and ensuring contingency plans.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in industrial real estate, infrastructure and development
• Proven multi-party deals delivering data center capacity
• 8+ years managing regional programs
• Commercial leadership on complex multi-variable deals for capacity
• Track record delivering large capital projects
• Experience opening new markets and channels for data center capacity
• Strategic thinker with influence over senior stakeholders
• Analytical, fast-paced problem solving and cross-functional leadership
• Collaborator and clear communicator
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Leadership experience scaling teams during growth
• Knowledge of industry trends and competitive landscape

Responsibilities

• Grow and lead the regional development program to enable data center capacity
• Collaborate with design, engineering, construction, network, and legal to plan capacity targets
• Guide strategic approach to new capacity while mitigating risk and ensuring contingencies
• Accountable for data center site selection and development within North America
• Deliver cost-effective capacity with flexibility and optionality
• Represent Meta with executives, suppliers, governments, and regulators
• Recruit, onboard, and mentor internal staff and foster career development
• Travel domestically and internationally as needed (25%+)
