Job summary

Precision Castparts seeks a Director of Quality to lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of the organization’s quality management systems. This role ensures products, services, and processes meet regulatory, industry, and customer requirements while driving a culture of quality and operational excellence.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in quality management, 5+ in leadership, and a strong track record of implementing QMS frameworks (ISO, FDA, GMP).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Life Sciences, or related field is required.
• 10+ years in quality management with 5+ years in a leadership role.
• Experience in manufacturing, healthcare, biotech, food, etc.
• Strong experience with regulatory and compliance standards (e.g., ISO 9001, FDA, GMP).
• Proven track record of implementing and improving QMS frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive quality strategy aligned with organizational goals.
• Lead quality teams across multiple locations or business units.
• Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the Quality Management System (e.g., ISO, FDA, or industry-specific standards).
• Lead internal and external audits, inspections, and certifications.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
• Partner with Operations, Engineering, and Supply Chain to improve process efficiency and product quality.
• Lead CAPA processes.
• Define and track KPIs for quality performance and provide executive-level reporting.
