Job summary

AMETEK, Inc. seeks a Director of Quality to lead quality strategy across two manufacturing sites. You will drive continuous improvement, ensure regulatory compliance, and mentor a team of quality professionals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in quality management within manufacturing, with at least 5 years in leadership.
• Experience with quality management systems (ISO 9001, AS9100, FDA, or equivalent) and Lean/Six Sigma.
• Ability and willingness to use AI tools to improve productivity, decision-making, and to reduce costs.
• Proven track record of driving quality improvements across multi-site operations.
• Ability to travel up to 30% to BU manufacturing sites.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a strategic quality plan aligned with business unit goals.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of quality professionals across two locations.
• Champion a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Oversee QMS implementation, maintenance, and improvement at both locations; ensure compliance with standards.
• Collaborate with sales, operations, engineering, and supply chain to resolve quality issues; drive CAPA.
• Lead Lean Six Sigma or other CI initiatives to reduce defects and improve efficiency.
• Implement data-driven tools (SPC, FMEA, Control Plans) to monitor process capabilities.
• Facilitate cross-functional value stream mapping sessions and quality workshops.
• Serve as main contact for customer quality issues, audits, and supplier development.
