Job summary

AMETEK Programmable Power is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer in San Diego to ensure high reliability and quality across manufacturing and products. You will implement QA/QC methods, set up QMS procedures, and drive continuous improvement from supply chain to end user.

The role requires collaboration with management and customers to resolve failures and enhance product quality. You will lead audits, problem solving, design reviews and action plans, while mentoring quality staff and supporting

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing or Quality.
• 6 years of experience within quality function in electronics manufacturing.
• Must have legal right to work in the U.S. and be authorized to access export-controlled information.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain QMS procedures per ISO 9001, AS9001, AS5553A and customer requirements.
• Lead internal audits and drive containment, root cause and corrective actions.
• Lead design reviews, HALT analysis and set acceptance criteria for products and processes.
• Direct Quality Technicians and MRB activities in production.
• Support quality issues on production lines and lead improvement projects.
