Job summary

Catalis is seeking a strategic, execution-focused Head of Quality Assurance to form a centralized shared services QA organization. The leader will consolidate five product-vertical QA teams into a unified model based in India, with onshore governance in Edmonton and periodic travel to India.

The role emphasizes AI-driven QA and shift-left practices within the SDLC. The candidate will direct offshore QA Managers, partner with US-based engineering and product leaders, and drive standardized

Qualifications

• 10+ years of QA experience, including 5+ years in a senior leadership role.
• Experience building centralized shared services QA organization, ideally in India.
• Experience consolidating fragmented QA functions into unified organization.
• Experience leveraging AI and emerging tech to transform QA practices.
• Hands-on with Playwright, Selenium or Cypress in automation efforts.
• Strong Jira, Scrum/DevOps familiarity and stakeholder engagement.
• Willingness to travel 15–20% to India.

Responsibilities

• Lead the transformation to a centralized shared services QA organization.
• Design governance with SLAs, demand management, and capacity planning.
• Establish unified quality standards and a long-term QA roadmap.
• Embed shift-left QA and integrate with CI/CD and automation.
• Oversee offshore teams in India and collaboration with US/Canada teams.
• Drive accessibility testing and WCAG considerations across products.
• Provide metrics, reporting and continuous improvement initiatives.
