Job summary

Butterfly Network, Inc. seeks an experienced Director to build and lead Quality Engineering and DevOps. You will own end-to-end QA and platform engineering, shaping test automation, CI/CD, and release processes while ensuring HIPAA, FDA, and SOC 2 compliance.

You will manage a distributed team across onshore and offshore locations, partnering with product engineering, regulatory, IT, and security to ship fast without compromising quality.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in software engineering, QA, DevOps, or platform engineering.
• 3–5 years in engineering management or senior technical leadership.
• Proven experience leading QA and DevOps or platform functions, with distributed teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead, grow, and inspire QA and DevOps engineers across onshore and offshore teams; foster ownership and continuous improvement.
• Define and execute a comprehensive QA strategy, automated testing frameworks, test coverage standards, and regression pipelines.
• Own the DevOps/platform roadmap: CI/CD pipelines, IaC, deployment automation, cloud cost optimization, and developer tooling.
• Partner with engineering leadership to establish release management processes enabling high-velocity delivery with regulatory compliance.
• Drive observability and SRE practices: on-call, incident response, runbooks, SLAs/SLOs, and post-mortems.
