Job summary

Butterfly Network is seeking a Director of DevOps & QA Engineering to lead its QA and DevOps teams, shaping test automation, CI/CD pipelines, release processes, and platform reliability for a regulated medical device environment.

Based in New York with a hybrid work model, you will manage onshore and offshore engineers, collaborate with product, regulatory, and security teams, and build an engineering culture focused on quality, speed, and compliance.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in software eng, QA, DevOps, or platform eng; 3–5 years in management

Responsibilities

• Lead QA and DevOps teams across onshore and offshore engineers
• Define QA strategy with automated testing frameworks and coverage
• Own CI/CD pipelines, release automation, and IaC
• Partner with product, security, and regulatory teams to ensure compliance
• Drive observability, SRE practices, incident response, and post-mortems
• Establish quality gates across the SDLC from PR to production
• Champion security-first mindset for infrastructure and releases
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to unblock delivery
