Director of Publisher Development (Amazon Brands)

PartnerBoost is a fast-growing Amazon Attribution network specializing in helping brands scale on Amazon through affiliate partnerships. Our mission is to unlock new revenue streams for Amazon sellers via innovative affiliate partnerships—publishers, influencers, and content creators. Backed by industry veterans, we collaborate with top-tier brands and agencies.

Role Overview

We’re seeking a seasoned and strategic Director of Publisher Development to expand our growth and manage our existing affiliate publisher portfolio in the U.S. You will be responsible for recruiting, onboarding, activating, and engaging high-performing affiliates who can drive meaningful traffic and revenue to Amazon-based brands.

This role is ideal for someone with extensive experience in affiliate marketing (agency or network), strong publisher relationships, and a proven track record in growing affiliate programs within the Amazon Associates ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities
  1. RECRUITMENT: Identify, recruit, and onboard high-quality affiliates (media houses, deal sites, influencers, price comparison sites, etc.) focusing on Amazon-specific promotions.
  2. RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT: Build and maintain long-term relationships with top publishers to foster growth for Amazon brands.
  3. ENGAGEMENT STRATEGIES: Develop publisher engagement plans and negotiate commercial terms to optimize program performance.
  4. PERFORMANCE ANALYSIS: Monitor and analyze publisher performance metrics, and optimize partnerships based on data insights.
  5. CROSS-FUNCTIONAL COLLABORATION: Work with account managers, agency partners, and brand teams to align on publisher goals and campaigns.
  6. INDUSTRY AWARENESS: Keep updated on Amazon Associates policies, tracking tools, and industry trends in content commerce and performance marketing.
  7. NETWORKING: Represent the company at industry events and conferences to build publisher relationships.
  8. TEAM LEADERSHIP: As the team grows, effectively manage publisher development managers and assistants to enhance their performance.
Requirements
  • EXPERIENCE: 5+ years in affiliate marketing, focusing on publisher development.
  • AMAZON EXPERTISE: Proven success working with or alongside Amazon Associates or promoting Amazon brands via affiliate marketing.
  • PUBLISHER RELATIONSHIPS: Strong existing relationships with U.S.-based publishers, media networks, and influencer platforms.
  • NETWORKS: Experience with affiliate networks like CJ, Impact, Awin, Partnerize, Rakuten, etc.
  • TECH PROFICIENCY: Skilled with digital tools such as HubSpot, G Suite, Slack; capable of API setups, guiding publishers technically, and understanding attribution and monetization in Amazon ecosystem.
  • COMMUNICATION: Excellent negotiation and relationship management skills.
  • ANALYTICAL SKILLS: Experience with reporting tools and performance metrics.
  • FLEXIBILITY: Comfortable working remotely in a fast-paced environment across multiple time zones; willing to travel for industry events.
Nice-to-Haves
  • Experience building publisher teams or managing affiliate sales operations.
  • Knowledge of SEO, content monetization, or commerce editorial strategies.
  • Familiarity with Amazon Attribution and Seller networks.
