Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced Director-Project Controls to lead project controls services for major client accounts in the Indianapolis area. The role requires guiding cost, schedule, and risk management while directing a high-performing project controls team.

The candidate will develop project execution plans, oversee budgets and bid processes, and drive regular reporting and governance. Strong analytics, leadership, and client-delivery track record are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering or related field.
• Graduate degree in related area preferred.
• 12+ years of relevant project controls experience.
• 2+ years managing high performing project control teams in a consulting environment.
• Knowledge of multiple contract delivery methods and their merits.
• Proven experience with schedules, cost control, estimating and risk management.
• Experience implementing and managing a project controls system for major capital projects.
• Strong ability to establish baselines and performance metrics.

Responsibilities

• Establish and execute high-level strategic direction of project controls including cost, risk and schedule management.
• Oversee project budget approval process and life cycle costing.
• Lead risk workshops and develop mitigation actions with owners.
• Develop Project Execution Plans and project control deliverables.
• Produce regular reporting and documentation for gateway approvals.
• Coordinate cross-functional input for controls and governance.
• Manage project estimates, cash flow and financial planning.
• Lead risk management processes and Monte Carlo analyses.
• Develop and monitor progress against baseline metrics.
• Ensure SOX controls where applicable.
