Job summary

Turner Construction Company is seeking an experienced project leader to manage day-to-day operations on a Indianapolis- area project. You will direct staff, mentor teams, and maintain strong client relationships while overseeing budget, schedule, and QA/QC programs.

Strong communication and leadership skills are essential. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and at least ten years in construction, with advanced experience in contract documents, drawings, and project scheduling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree plus a minimum of ten years related experience.
• Thorough knowledge of construction cost, scheduling, estimating, purchasing, and engineering principles and techniques, as well as accounting principles.
• Proven written and verbal communication abilities; advanced presentation skills.
• Ability to read, understand and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project schedule.
• Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of high-performance project teams through supervision, training and mentoring.
• Manage and develop assigned staff toward maximum job performance.
• Develop and improve client relationships fostering a trusted advisor status.
• Understand and administer Turner's contract and subcontract agreements.
• Provide leadership to positively influence change.
• Promote Turner's involvement in the community to build strategic relationships.
• Foster and enhance architect, subcontractor and vendor relations.
• Establish, update, and communicate the Master Project Schedule and manage its implementation.
• Manage budget and financial reporting, interpret and analyze reports for adherence to budget.
• Manage the QA/QC program.
• Drive competencies to team on insurance, labor relations, and employee relations.
• Drive enforcement of safety protocols by the project staff.
