Job summary

Turner & Townsend in the United States seeks an experienced Project Controls Lead to guide client delivery and lead project controls for major accounts. This role focuses on developing strategies, schedules, budgets, and risk management to ensure on-time, on-budget project completions.

You will mentor teams, provide expert advice on cost estimation, forecasting, and earned value, and stay current with industry practices while applying robust SOX controls where applicable.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in a project controls role in construction.
• Proficiency in schedule development, cost control, risk management, and earned value.
• Experience with regulatory requirements and SOX controls.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive project control strategies, processes, and procedures to optimize project performance and ensure adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and cross-functional teams to define project objectives, scope, deliverables, and KPIs.
• Create detailed project schedules using industry-standard project management software, considering critical path analysis, resource allocation, and dependencies.
• Monitor and analyze project progress against baselines, identify deviations, risks, and opportunities for improvement, and mitigate risks.
• Conduct regular project status meetings with stakeholders, providing accurate reports on schedule adherence, cost variance, earned value, and risk assessment.
• Provide expert advice on project control best practices, including cost estimating, budgeting, forecasting, and earned value management.
• Develop and implement change management processes to assess and manage project scope changes, with proper impact analysis and documentation.
• Assist teams in developing contingency plans and recovery plans to address challenges and ensure successful outcomes.
• Support managers in analyzing data and generating reports to aid decision-making and identify trends.
• Train and mentor staff on project control methodologies and tools.
