Job summary

Asiyah Women’s Center seeks a Director of Programs & Operations to lead day-to-day program delivery, shelter operations, and organizational systems. The role oversees staff, LMSW supervision, mental health programming, and coordination across shelter, housing advocacy, and services.

The candidate will ensure program outcomes align with grant requirements, manage volunteers and interns, and support fundraising and development efforts.

Qualifications

• Requires 5+ years in nonprofit management, social services, or shelter operations.
• 2–3+ years of staff supervision or management experience preferred.
• Experience supervising social workers, case managers, or similar professionals preferred.
• Experience with emergency shelter, housing, mental health, or crisis response strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily implementation and quality of programs at Asiyah.
• Manage mental health programming and counseling referrals, scheduling, and outcomes.
• Provide administrative and programmatic supervision to LMSW; coordinate clinical supervision as needed.
• Oversee emergency shelter admissions, occupancy, safety, and staffing.
• Develop and enforce policies, workflows, and reporting for grants and compliance.
