Job summary

CAMBA invites applications for an Assistant Program Director role at Broadway House Women’s Shelter in NYC. The position reports to the Vice President and oversees program operations, client services, and regulatory compliance.

The role requires supervisory experience, a relevant degree, and strong coordination skills to ensure performance targets are met and funds are properly managed. The team emphasizes safety, quality service, and collaborative leadership.

Qualifications

• Associate degree and six (6) years applicable experience.
• Bachelor’s degree and four (4) years applicable experience.
• Applicants currently enrolled in a program and on track to complete the minimum required education, license, and/or certification within the next three months, and who meet the minimum experience requirements, are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Maintain professional relationships with clients and client confidentiality.
• Clearly communicate CAMBA’s policies, requirements, guidelines, and program performance targets to staff.
• Ensure that all contractual goals, targets, and performance outcomes are met monthly.
• Plan and develop facility and maintenance and operation systems for effective service delivery.
• Develop procedures for measuring and documenting shelter operations.
• Ensure shelters meet regulatory compliance (health, DHS, OTDA, safety, fire dept).
• Conduct one-on-one supervision of direct reporting staff to assess performance.
• Coordinate purchasing and oversee inventorying and procurement of supplies.
