Job summary

MY Project USA, based in Columbus, Ohio, seeks a Director of Programs to lead and oversee multiple programs, departments, and community initiatives. You will partner with leadership to support daily operations, drive program success, monitor performance, and ensure accountability across programs for youth and families.

The role requires at least five years in nonprofit program management, strong leadership, and budgeting experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, public administration, business, social services, education, or related field preferred.
• Five or more years of nonprofit program management experience.
• Experience overseeing multiple programs and driving accountability across a complex organization.
• Strong leadership, project management, organization, and communication skills.
• Experience with budgets, compliance, reporting, and performance metrics.
• Ability to work independently while building relationships with staff, volunteers, partners and funders.
• Experience in youth development or community-based nonprofit environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight across multiple programs, departments, and initiatives.
• Partner with organizational leadership to support day-to-day operations and long-term program success.
• Monitor program performance, budgets, grant requirements, reporting deadlines, and deliverables.
• Develop and improve systems for reporting, accountability, data collection, and program evaluation.
• Recruit, coach, support, and hold staff, volunteer leaders, interns, and youth leaders accountable for program execution.
• Coordinate with department leaders to identify operational challenges, implement solutions, and strengthen program outcomes.
• Support grant compliance, documentation, reporting requirements, and financial accountability across programs.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with schools, funders, community partners, healthcare organizations, volunteers, and stakeholders.
• Represent MY Project USA at meetings, events, trainings, and community partnership activities.
• Help strengthen and support organizational initiatives, including community programs and social enterprise activities.
