Compensation: $135,000 - 175,000 per year

As the Director of Program Operations at CodePath, you’ll be at the heart of a mission-driven organization that is transforming the tech education landscape. This role offers an exciting opportunity to design, refine, and scale operational systems that enable CodePath to expand its reach to 100,000 students annually—ensuring they receive a seamless, high-quality learning experience.

You will architect the backbone of CodePath’s programs, driving efficiency, innovation, and student success. From staffing and onboarding to project retrospectives and cross-functional collaboration, you’ll create and optimize workflows that empower teams to deliver world-class education at scale. You’ll also develop real-time dashboards to provide critical insights into program quality, staffing, financials, and strategic adjustments—helping leadership make data-driven decisions that shape the future of tech education.

You won’t just be leading operations—you’ll be leading globally. You will oversee and provide strategic direction for an international support team based in the Philippines, ensuring seamless coordination across time zones and maximizing efficiency. You’ll cultivate a high-performing, mission-aligned team, optimizing remote collaboration to drive operational excellence.

Key Activities

Strategic Leadership & Systems Development

  1. Lead and manage an offshore team of 11 full-time leaders, and 30+ part-time contractors
  2. Understand and refine existing operational processes, rebuilding as needed, to support seamless delivery of courses at scale
  3. Design and implement systems, automations, expansion, and contingency plans to address barriers to scaling operations
  4. Create and maintain dashboards for real-time program insights related to staffing, financials, and overall program performance

Process Improvement & Optimization

  1. Observe, extract, and document current operational workflows and procedures, ensuring clarity and alignment with leadership
  2. Evaluate current processes to identify obstacles, inefficiencies, and opportunities to enhance quality, response time, and student experience
  3. Lead initiatives to improve processes across teams, ensuring smooth and efficient course delivery and an optimized student experience
  4. Work closely with cross-functional teams to align and streamline operational processes in support of CodePath’s strategic objectives

Student Experience & Engagement

  1. Identify operational hurdles that affect student satisfaction and course completion, and develop solutions to address them
  2. Continuously iterate on systems and processes to promote a high-quality, student-centered experience
  3. Transform student services to be best-in-class, considering cultural needs and incorporating AI-driven solutions

Stakeholder Management & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  1. Partner with senior leaders across Learning, Career, Local, and Revenue teams to align operational goals
  2. Serve as the operational liaison between teams, establishing clear communication and effective execution of programs
  3. Collaborate closely with curriculum and program teams to ensure alignment between operational processes and instructional goals
  4. Support, nurture, and develop leaders within the Operations team, cultivating a culture of high performance and continuous improvement
  5. Understand, represent, and champion CodePath’s ideal student experience and strategic goals in operational concerns and decisions
  6. Support the team in achieving bold metrics, while also “looking beneath the metric” to determine whether ultimate goals are being met

Key Success Metrics

  1. Upleveled on and can operate as a Subject Matter Expert on the current provisioning, launch, run, and spend plans for our 50+ program instances, running across four major program types (Direct, Local, For-Credit, and Immersives)
  2. Identified, deployed, and validated meaningful process gains (3-5 key improvements) in current programs systems (provisioning, launch, spend, and quality-tracking), to improve cost and time efficiency for senior and direct-service staff by 30%
  3. Effectively owning and driving operations and work streams for major initiatives (fall programs)
  4. Effectively owning launch plans for all Fall programming, including new initiatives and all required cross-functional coordination
  5. Documented and actioned up to three key systems overhauls to support strategic priorities and scaling plans for 2026

Qualifications

  1. 5+ years of experience in complex program operations, including managing teams and systems
  2. Experience not only building, but reshaping existing systems using Zendesk, Asana, Airtable, Notion, gSuite and similar platforms
  3. Track record in expert-level optimization of processes and systems to improve efficiency and scalability
  4. Strong ability to work cross-functionally and build alignment with diverse stakeholders
  5. Experience in operational leadership during periods of organizational and product growth and transformation
  6. Empathy for students, with a clear vision for improving the learning experience and supporting their success in both large (10,000+) and small scale learning (30-300+) environments
  7. Ability to effectively manage, coach, and directly engage teams in alternate timezones including Philippines (GMT+8), and strategize live daily with senior leadership in US (GMT -8)
  8. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Tools and Tech:

  1. Experience not only building, but reshaping existing systems using Zendesk, Asana, Airtable, Notion, gSuite and similar platforms
  2. Experience optimizing high-engagement, learner-centered Slack Workspaces with up to 20K active users

Compensation and Benefits

CodePath has standardized salaries based on the position’s level, no matter where you live. For this role, we’re hiring for a Director level position at an annual salary of $135,000 to $175,000. Salary is determined based on your relevant experience and skills as evaluated through our interview process.

Pay range: $135,000 - $175,000 USD
