Base pay range

$90,000.00/yr - $100,000.00/yr

The Director of Production Operations oversees the Production Department within TrueSense Marketing. The position is responsible for both short- and long-term production strategy planning, ensuring that the most current and efficient production strategies are in place. The position also manages the staff and systems of the Production Department; oversees information and cost management; and develops, maintains and enables processes and policies consistent with company interests.

Essential Functions:

1. Collaborates with the Senior Data Programmer to ensure quality and process during sign-off and set up stages of print production.
2. Develops and implements strategies to optimize production workflows, improve efficiency, and reduce costs without compromising quality.
3. Oversees daily production schedules, ensuring timely delivery of products to meet customer expectations.
4. Monitors production metrics, analyze performance data, and identify areas for improvement.
5. Collaborates with design, procurement, and sales teams to align production capabilities with business objectives.
6. Provides strong leadership to production managers, supervisors, and team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
7. Communicates clear goals and expectations to the team and provide regular feedback and performance evaluations.
8. Ensures all products meet or exceed quality standards, implementing quality control processes at every stage of production.
9. Addresses production challenges or defects promptly to minimize disruptions.
10. Promotes a safe working environment by enforcing compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
11. Develops and manages the production operations budget, identifying opportunities to reduce expenses and improve profitability.
12. Approves purchases of equipment, materials, and supplies needed for production.
13. Oversees maintenance and upgrades of machinery and equipment to minimize downtime and enhance productivity.
14. Oversees the production activities of the agency’s clients, primarily direct mail, including: estimating, scheduling, project management, vendor management, pre-press, printing/personalization and letter shop services.
15. Collaborates with agency leadership to recommend best production solutions, prepare schedules, estimates and production workflow.
16. Monitors, assesses and reports production issues/challenges to supervisor.
17. Manages the process for all outsourced production jobs (outside of MSP).
18. Acts as the agency resource for production issues and questions.
19. Attends weekly Operations status meeting.

Education and Experience:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field preferred; an MBA or equivalent experience is a plus.
2. 10+ years of experience in production management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the print manufacturing industry preferred.
3. Proven track record of implementing process improvements and driving operational efficiency.
4. Strong knowledge of print manufacturing processes, equipment, and technology.
5. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
6. Proficiency in production planning software and data analysis tools.
7. Strong understanding of quality assurance principles and safety regulations.

This position is 100% onsite in Bloomsburg, PA.
