AMTS is currently seeking a qualified Program Manager to join our team on a long-term, fulfilling career opportunity in a manufacturing environment working remotely, with regular site visits to our facility in San Antonio, TX. Preferred candidate resides in San Antonio, TX (but not required).

AMTS-D&D JV provides manufacturing solutions, specializing in design, machining, fabrication, and assembly of aerospace ground support equipment for the commercial and defense industry. Our team brings nearly 40 years of experience serving the aerospace industry. The AMTS-D&D JV was formed to deliver diverse and comprehensive manufacturing solutions to support the needs of the warfighter. Our subject matter experts bring problem solving techniques you would expect from a large business, only with small business agility. Our workforce includes civilian and former military members who bring institutional knowledge and experience to produce customer-specific, exceptional results.

Role Description

The Program Manager will oversee the joint-venture DoD manufacturing programs that AMTS manages. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  1. Establishing, monitoring, and achieving successful programs within the joint venture manufacturing environment.
  2. Collaborating with Operations Management, engineering, and manufacturing teams to create and manage customer timelines.
  3. Establishing, monitoring, and achieving strategic, operational, and financial objectives for specific customer programs and managing individual projects within its portfolio.

Requirements

Minimum Candidate Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • US Citizenship
  • Ability/eligibility to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance
  • At least 5 years’ experience in:
  • Program management with DoD manufacturing experience
  • Creating and managing timelines
  • Working with operations, engineers, and labor to achieve desired outcomes
  • Customer interfacing and stakeholder management
  • Developing IMP and IMS for government systems/equipment/platforms, including ground support equipment
  • Executing CDRLs, DIDs, WBS, Risk Analysis, ILS, Logistics Data
  • Leading conferences and reviews such as system requirement reviews, test readiness reviews, program management reviews, and technical interchange meetings
  • Managing scope, schedule, budget, change, and configuration control
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Microsoft Project

Desired Skills

  • Experience with DoD contracting, especially manufacturing
  • Understanding of DoD Aerospace Ground Support Equipment lifecycle management
  • Knowledge of SBA 8(a) program
  • Experience with ISO 9001-2015 Quality Management System
  • Experience with Acumatica ERP
  • Background in continuous improvement methods like Lean and Six Sigma
  • Analytical skills in performance and utilization metrics
  • Ability to influence cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with stakeholders, including senior management and customers
