Job summary

Muon Space seeks a Director of Manufacturing Architecture to own the production engine—PLM, MES, and scheduling—and to scale a next-generation infrastructure for serial, NPI, and rapid prototyping workstreams. You will partner with AI&T, quality, supply chain, and mission engineering to unify systems across programs.

The role requires on-site hybrid work in San Jose, CA, with three days per week in the office, and carries leadership potential for the Production TPM team.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in manufacturing/production and/or technical program management with production ops experience.
• Proven track record in standing up/scaling production infrastructure (PLM, MES, scheduling) and integrations.
• Deep experience across rate production, NPI, and prototype builds and related infra needs.
• Strong understanding of BOM/part/change management, routings, work instructions, and MRP/scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Define and own end-to-end production infrastructure (PLM, MES, scheduling) and scalable backbone.
• Architect long-term-but-pragmatic solutions, improving existing systems and adding needed capabilities.
• Design a coherent system supporting rate production, NPI, and rapid prototyping.
