Job summary

Sierra Space is seeking a Senior Director of Production Operations to lead satellite and spacecraft manufacturing across multiple facilities. You will shape the production strategy and scale operations to deliver high-rate production with quality and efficiency.

Reporting to the Vice President of Production, you will standardize processes, drive MES implementations, and manage large teams while ensuring ITAR/EAR compliance and safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, operations, or related field.
• 12+ years in manufacturing/production roles with senior leadership experience and multi-site oversight.
• Active Top Secret Clearance OR Ability to Attain TS.

Responsibilities

• Own manufacturing, assembly, integration, and test operations across multiple sites.
• Develop and execute production strategies to scale from development to high-rate production.
• Standardize processes and MES across facilities for consistency and scale.
• Lead capacity planning, facility buildout, and secure manufacturing planning for classified programs.
• Drive lean, automation, and continuous improvement across production environments.
• Collaborate with engineering and QA to ensure producibility and quality.
