Job summary

Charter Next Generation (CNG) is seeking a Pricing Leader in Chicago, IL, to head a team of pricing specialists. You will shape pricing strategy, supervise quotes and RFPs, and drive margin-focused decisions across products and customers in a hybrid environment.

You will partner with senior leadership to translate strategic direction into actionable roadmaps, build pricing processes, and elevate pricing literacy across the commercial team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics or related field.
• 5–8 years in pricing, commercial analytics, finance, or related role in manufacturing, industrial, or B2B.
• Demonstrated people leadership including coaching and development.
• Track record of leading pricing or commercial process change that was adopted.
• Experience with quoting, RFP or bid processes in B2B or manufacturing.
• Experience with commodity costs, index-based pricing, or input volatility.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders without direct authority.
• Experience owning pricing in industrial packaging, films, or converting.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a pricing specialists team for quotes, RFPs, and pricing support.
• Set expectations, service levels, and quality standards for quote/RFP turnaround.
• Manage team workload and capacity against fluctuating commercial demand.
• Develop team’s analytical, commercial, and stakeholder-management capabilities.
• Serve as escalation point for complex pricing and RFP situations.
• Partner with VP, Pricing to shape pricing strategy and multi-year roadmap.
• Translate strategy into executable milestones with clear owners.
• Drive pricing governance, process discipline, and cutoff thresholds.
• Monitor price/margin movements; adjust pricing to protect margin.
• Lead cross-functional pricing discussions with Sales, Finance, Marketing, Operations.
