McKinstry in Seattle, WA is seeking a Director of Preconstruction to lead the Prime MEP division. You will oversee estimating processes and integrate team into electrical business units.

Responsibilities include managing preconstruction team, coaching, and coordinating with business unit managers to set up and execute projects. This role demands a decade in electrical construction and strong cost-estimating expertise.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership of pre-construction and estimating teams.
• Proficient in MS Office; SharePoint preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience.
• 10 years of electrical construction contractor experience.
• Strong ability to read plans, specs, contracts, and estimates.
• Experience with cost and estimating platforms.

Responsibilities

• Prepares quantitative estimates using McKinstry estimating platforms.
• Manages conceptual and quantitative estimating processes.
• Drives technology initiatives into processes for the group.
• Manages SOPs and Project Life Cycle requirements for cost and preconstruction tasks.
• Coordinates with Business Unit Managers, Project Executives and Project Managers for set up and execution.
