Job summary

Cooperative Energy Incorporated in Marietta, GA seeks an Associate/Director of Operations to lead generation scheduling and operational analysis functions, overseeing 24/7 scheduling desk activities.

This leadership role supports reliable and cost-effective dispatch decisions, strengthens operational reporting, and helps ensure compliance with market, regulatory, and Family of Companies requirements. Collaboration with CEI staff, Members, GSOC, vendors and others is essential.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of wholesale power operations, generation scheduling, dispatch analysis, and utility operations.
• Ability to analyze operational performance and develop clear reporting on economic and reliable dispatch.
• Familiarity with power plant operations, outage planning, generation forecasts, and operational constraints.
• Knowledge of FOC, GSOC, FERC, and transmission tariff requirements preferred.
• Advanced MS Office; experience with SQL and reporting tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the 24/7 scheduling desk and guide operations in a leadership role.
• Develop and implement annual scheduling desk work schedules.
• Train scheduling desk staff and support professional growth.
• Serve as primary contact for scheduling questions and process improvements.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching and feedback.
• Support sprint planning and coordination for tools and processes.
• Generate and review reports evaluating operations performance and costs.
• Collaborate with CEI staff, Member representatives, GSOC, vendors, and participants.
