Job summary

FlightSafety International is seeking a strategic Director of Pilot Training and Standards to oversee the operation and quality of all training programs and delivery at the Learning Center. This role ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and supervises instructor development and training activities across locations.

The position requires a strong background in aviation training, 10+ years of related experience and 3–4 years of management experience, guiding performance, courseware

Qualifications

• Ten years of related experience.
• Three to four years of management experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the development of standardized courseware documentation.
• New-Hire Instructor onboarding, training, mentoring, and qualification.
• Ensure materials comply with regulatory requirements.
• Review data from Customer requests, Airworthiness Directives and manufacturers to determine training applicability.
• Propose changes to course, courseware or training equipment as needed.
• Coordinate Pilot Training Programs by aircraft type and related materials.
• Supervise and manage Customer training activities.
• Monitor teaching quality through QA observations during and after the initial period of employment.
• Coordinate with regulatory agencies regarding training device approvals and curriculum material.
• Monitor simulator and aircraft training activities for technical and procedural accuracy.
• Ensure Instructors are trained and qualified per requirements.
• Schedule New Hire Instructor training and supervise until release to PMs.
