Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited college or university.
• Master’s degree in nursing or healthcare administration or related field.
• RN licensure in Rhode Island; NLC or RI Board of Nursing.
• CNOR certification preferred.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• 5–7 years perioperative experience; 3+ years in leadership/management.
• Experience leading OR and Sterile Processing in a large hospital or Level I trauma center.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations of the OR, Endoscopy, and Sterile Processing Services.
• Develop staffing plans and ensure alignment with patient care needs.
• Improve workflows using informatics and technology to enhance outcome.
• Monitor quality and safety, drive continuous improvement.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and readiness for inspections (JCAHO, AORN).
• Oversee budgeting, staffing budgets and resource allocation.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient flow and schedules.
• Manage staff development, retention, and competency updates.
