Job summary

Brown University Health seeks a Director of Operating Room (OR), Endoscopy, and Sterile Processing Services to lead daily operations of the OR and Sterile Processing, delivering safe, high-quality surgical care to pediatric and adult trauma patients in a Level I trauma center.

You will integrate departments under a unified vision, develop staffing plans, drive performance with evidence-based practices, and ensure regulatory compliance across perioperative services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing and RI RN licensure; CNOR preferred.
• Master’s degree in nursing or related field; internal candidates considered for advancement.
• Perioperative nursing certifications (e.g., CNOR) are highly desirable and enhance leadership potential.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage daily OR, Endoscopy, and Sterile Processing Services operations.
• Coordinate staffing plans and recruitment to align with patient-care needs.
• Foster collaboration and standardized workflows across departments to improve efficiency.
• Implement evidence-based practices to enhance patient outcomes and safety.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and readiness for inspections with Joint Commission and other bodies.
