Job summary

The Director of Operating Room (OR), Endoscopy, and Sterile Processing Services at Brown University Health leads the OR, Endoscopy and Sterile Processing departments to deliver safe, high-quality perioperative care across pediatric and adult trauma patients in a Level I center.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited college or university.
• Master’s degree in nursing or related field; internal candidates in a Master’s program considered.
• Certifications: CNOR preferred; BLS and ACLS required.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations of OR, Endoscopy and Sterile Processing Services to ensure optimal workflow.
• Develop staffing plans and oversee recruitment to meet patient care needs.
• Maintain staff competencies and drive ongoing professional development.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and readiness for inspections with Joint Commission and others.
• Collaborate system-wide to standardize workflows and improve efficiency.
• Integrate informatics and technology to enhance perioperative care and outcomes.
