Job summary

Stellarus Technology is seeking a Director, Performance Engineering and Test Automation to define and implement automated performance and reliability validation across our platform. You will own strategies for performance testing, load testing, scalability validation, and synthetic monitoring, partnering with developers to set standards and tooling for design, build, test, and operate services.

Qualifications

• Experience testing distributed systems, microservices, APIs, and event-driven architectures.
• Strong understanding of latency, throughput, concurrency, queueing, backpressure, retries, caching, database performance, and production failure modes.
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and making test results useful to engineering teams.
• Healthcare, payer, regulated-industry, SOC 2, HIPAA, or security-sensitive platform experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Define performance benchmarks and synthetic workloads for diverse services.
• Lead tooling strategy for automated performance validation and release gates.
• Partner with engineering to embed testing standards in design, development, and deployment.
• Drive observability improvements and AI-assisted testing adoption across teams.
