Job summary

Stellarus Technology seeks a Director of Performance Engineering and Test Automation to lead automated performance and reliability validation across our payer operations platform. You will own strategy, build tooling, and partner with engineering to ensure production readiness with AI-assisted testing where appropriate.

You will collaborate with developers to define standards for performance, latency, throughput, and observability, driving synthetic monitoring and release gates across services

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or High School Diploma/GED with 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
• 10 years of software engineering, quality engineering, performance engineering, platform engineering, SRE, or related technical experience.
• 6 years leading teams or programs focused on performance, test automation, reliability, or production readiness.
• Strong hands-on background building automated test systems, load testing frameworks, performance pipelines, or reliability tooling.
• Experience testing distributed systems, APIs, and cloud-native applications.

Responsibilities

• Define strategy and implementation for performance testing, load testing, and release gates across the Stellarus platform.
• Work with developers to set standards, tooling, and expectations for design, testing, and operation of services.
• Lead the practice, implement tooling, and foster a culture of continuous performance and reliability validation.
• Collaborate with teams to enable AI-assisted engineering tools for test generation and analysis.
