Job summary

Chesapeake Regional Healthcare seeks a Director of Workforce Experience to lead enterprise talent strategies, aligning HR resources with organizational priorities. You will steer HR, leadership development, and talent acquisition to attract, develop, engage, and deploy our healthcare workforce across hospitals and services.

You will partner with executives to close leadership gaps, drive performance, succession, and change management, and ensure Total Rewards support recruiting and retention.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree required in HR, business, organizational development, or related field.
• Doctorate in Organizational Development, Behavior, Leadership, Change, or related is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Establish enterprise talent framework connecting workforce planning, recruitment, development, performance, succession, engagement, rewards, and retention.
• Lead HR Business Partner function and align HR resources with priorities.
• Establish approaches to workforce planning, organizational design, performance management, employee relations, talent development, and change management.
• Coach leaders in organizational effectiveness, workforce strategy, engagement, and leadership practices.
• Lead organizational development strategies to improve capability, team effectiveness, culture, and performance.
• Develop enterprise leadership development strategy and leadership competency framework.
• Partner with executives to identify leadership capability gaps and develop targeted solutions.
• Provide strategic oversight of Talent Acquisition to support workforce plans and critical needs.
• Oversee student, internship, residency, fellowship, apprenticeship, and other early-career talent programs.
• Develop short- and long-term workforce strategies based on growth, patient volumes, labor market conditions, turnover, productivity, demographics, and skill requirements.
• Lead enterprise strategies to improve engagement, retention, and organizational commitment.
• Develop and improve performance management processes and leader capabilities.
• Establish and lead enterprise succession planning for critical positions.
• Ensure Total Rewards strategies support recruitment, retention, engagement, and growth.
• Lead enterprise change management for major initiatives.

Education

Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Development, or related field

Doctorate in Organizational Development, Behavior, Leadership, Change, or related (preferred)
