Job summary

NBCUniversal is seeking a Director of Administration to provide strategic leadership over payroll and timekeeping operations, ensuring accurate and compliant employee compensation. The role drives efficiency, strengthens internal controls, and leads cross-functional collaboration with HR and Finance.

The Director develops teams, manages budgets, and leverages data insights to support workforce planning while ensuring compliance with labor laws and CBAs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 5+ years related experience
• 3+ years managing union personnel and contracts
• 2+ years data analytics and verification
• Strong knowledge of payroll and timekeeping processes

Responsibilities

• Lead payroll and timekeeping operations with direction and oversight
• Establish workflows, internal controls and QA standards for accurate payroll processing
• Oversee payroll and timekeeping activities including wages, deductions and union/non-union records
• Monitor payroll data and timekeeper reports to identify discrepancies and resolve
• Conduct invoicing and job estimate reviews aligned with project scope and finance
• Ensure charge codes correlate to jobs and hours applied correctly
• Triage and prioritize work to focus on high-priority tasks
• Ensure compliance with labor laws, CBAs and policies
• Partner with HR and Labor Relations to interpret agreements
• Maintain documentation and oversee reconciliations for accuracy and transparency
• Drive process improvements and system enhancements
• Oversee payroll/timekeeping systems (e.g., SAP, Timekeeper)
• Collaborate with stakeholders and external partners
• Support payroll/timekeeping inquiries
• Develop policies aligned with organizational goals
• Use data/reporting to support workforce planning
• Ensure continuity of operations and risk management
• Perform other duties as assigned
