Job summary

Vaco Recruiter Services is seeking an experienced Director of Payroll to oversee payroll operations for 4,000+ employees in a healthcare environment. The role is based in NYC with a hybrid schedule (4 days onsite, 1 day remote).

You will lead a high-volume, biweekly payroll team, partner with HR and Finance, and drive process improvements while ensuring NY and multi-state compliance and accurate tax handling. A background in ADP, Workday, Paylocity, or Paycom is a plus.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of payroll experience, including leadership.
• Experience managing payroll for 4,000+ employees.
• Strong NY and multi-state payroll knowledge.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Healthcare industry experience preferred.
• Union payroll experience is a major plus.
• Experience with ADP, Workday, Paylocity, or Paycom is a plus.
