Job summary

The Executive Director, UHealth Access Operations, based in Florida, provides executive leadership for enterprise access functions including referral management, scheduling, and contact center services.

Responsible for strategic planning, performance management, budget oversight, and cross-functional collaboration with clinical and administrative leaders to enhance patient access and care coordination.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Develops and executes strategic plans and operational objectives for enterprise access operations.
• Provides executive oversight of referral management, continuity of care, scheduling, contact center, and diagnostic access functions.
• Leads the development and implementation of standardized operating models, workflows, and service standards.
• Drives initiatives that improve patient access, care coordination, referral conversion, and scheduling efficiency.
• Establishes performance goals and accountability measures to ensure operational excellence and service quality.
• Uses operational metrics, analytics, and benchmarking data to monitor performance and inform decision making.
• Oversees departmental budgets, resource allocation, and workforce planning activities.
• Leads and develops management teams responsible for multiple operational service lines.
• Partners with clinical, operational, physician, and administrative leaders to support organizational priorities.
• Directs large-scale process improvement, optimization, and transformation initiatives.
• Ensures compliance with applicable regulatory, accreditation, and organizational requirements.
• Promotes a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and service excellence.
• Sponsors and supports implementation of new technologies, systems, and operational capabilities.
• Represents access operations on enterprise committees, initiatives, and strategic projects.
• Establishes and continuously assesses the effectiveness of the internal controls within the unit and compliance with university policies and procedures.
