Northern Montana Hospital is seeking a Patient Access Director to lead the Registration and Financial Clearance teams, ensuring smooth inpatient admissions and outpatient testing workflows. The role emphasizes policy compliance and exceptional patient service.

The director will oversee staff training, monthly meetings, and ongoing education while staying current with Patient Access technologies. This leadership position shapes patient experience across NMH’s service areas.

Qualifications

• Four year degree from baccalaureate program preferred.
• Minimum two to three years' experience in a supervisory or management position preferred.
• Experience with Windows application systems.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Healthcare setting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Patient Access staff in the Registration and Financial Clearance areas.
• Ensure efficient admission of inpatients and admitting process for outpatient testing/procedures.
• Oversee pre-registration and financial clearance of hospital-based services.
• Schedule and facilitate mandatory monthly staff meetings, in-services and continuing education sessions.
• Maintain proficiency in all Patient Access technologies and stay current with policies and procedures.
• Provide excellent service at all times.
