Job summary

Blue Cross NC is seeking a Director of Operations Support to provide leadership, vision, and direction for multiple units within the business area. You will lead teams responsible for initiatives that create efficiencies, optimize systems and processes, and promote quality, while directing budgeting and program management efforts.

Role focuses on process re-engineering, system enhancements, and cross-functional leadership across auditing, training, software administration, and data analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
• In lieu of bachelor’s degree, 12 years’ experience managing multifunctional operational area or IS application/software development experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage and set goals for teams responsible for initiatives/projects to create efficiencies and promote quality.
• Provide leadership, vision, and direction for assigned teams; determine priorities reflecting core values.
• Develop, coach and motivate others to act in line with the future state.
• Develop and manage departmental budgets including forecasting and variance analyses.
• Lead initiatives to improve department effectiveness via process analysis, system enhancements and re-engineering.
• Direct staff of subject matter experts on supporting business initiatives and project delivery.
• Oversee project management from business case through ROI analysis and planning.
• Oversee optimization of existing systems, processes, and workflows including workforce planning for call centers.
