Abaco Systems in Huntsville seeks an Operations Director to lead the facility's production and repair operations at a strategic level. You will formulate policies, manage resources, and partner with the Operational Excellence team to sustain best-in-class operations.

You will drive safety culture, quality leadership, and cost/performance targets, while guiding continuous improvement efforts and talent development to meet aggressive customer expectations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or BS Business Administration with extensive production/manufacturing management experience.
• Proven record of success as a "hands on" operations management leader with at least 8-10 years of related experience.
• Production/manufacturing management in low volume / high mix (Engineered) product environment preferably in the electronics industry.
• Extensive knowledge and experience in successfully implementing and leading world class lean operations.

Responsabilités

• Safety as Culture: Ensuring a Safe Operating Environment, and actively participating and outlining requirements for Safety Training.
• Quality Focus: lead Quality Organization, ensure compliance to standards, and participate in Kaizen for quality improvement.
• Delivery Performance: ensure organization meets customer quality, technical, and delivery expectations for repairs.
• Cost Performance: establish strategies, budgets, material and labor requirements to support customer requirements.
• Manage and control expenses in accordance with approved budget.
• Meet or exceed objectives in sales, profit, turn-around time, and safety.
• Participate in development and implementation of Abaco business strategy and support objectives.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives with metrics and tools to improve efficiency and communication.
• Provide feedback to leadership on talent needs and organization capabilities for production improvement.
• People management from hiring through progressive discipline.
• Development and cross-training of technical staff and support groups.
• Coordinate and present performance reports to customers.
