Job summary

Alloy Surfaces Company (ASC) seeks a Director of Operations to lead manufacturing, asset reliability, maintenance and facilities, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient production aligned with financial and customer objectives.

You will develop and execute operational strategies, budgets, staffing, and capital plans while driving Lean and continuous improvement across the site. This role reports to senior leadership and partners with multiple functions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Operations Management or related field.
• Master’s degree or MBA is preferred.
• Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and direction for Operations, Production, Asset Reliability, Maintenance, and Facilities to support objectives.
• Direct day-to-day manufacturing operations ensuring safe, efficient, compliant execution and meeting safety, quality, delivery, cost targets.
• Oversight of production budgets, schedules, capacity, and performance standards.
• Develop strategies to improve OEE, productivity, reliability, and efficiency.
• Forecast labor requirements through capacity planning and recommend equipment/facility changes.
• Manage labor, capital, equipment, and material resources to meet demand while controlling costs.
• Lead Lean Manufacturing, Operational Excellence, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Oversee inventory management and capacity planning to support schedules and financial goals.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, PM, Supply Chain, HSE, and other teams to optimize performance and compliance.
• Build and lead a high-performing Operations organization with staffing, development, and succession planning.
• Champion safety, accountability, and compliance with government, regulatory, customer, and company requirements.
