Job summary

Wesco International, Inc. is seeking a Director of Operations to lead the performance of all operational functions at a large distribution location or multiple sites.

You will provide strategic leadership to meet objectives in service, productivity, and quality and partner with Supply Chain, Operations, and business units to drive continuous improvement. You will guide hiring, talent development, and staff management, lead teams to meet targets, and drive customer excellence.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years of operation leadership experience in distribution center facilities.
• 5+ years managing varied organizations development projects and programs.
• LEAN yellow belt certification.
• Ability to execute a LEAN mentality in a distribution/warehouse environment.
• Strong strategic thinking and communication skills with senior management.

Responsibilities

• Manage operations to improve operational efficiency and increase productivity.
• Provide guidance on hiring, developing talent, and managing staff.
• Lead a team to ensure objectives are met, including driving customer excellence plans and performance targets.
• Drive LEAN methodologies to improve efficiency, productivity, and quality.
• Provide strategic and tactical leadership to achieve corporate goals.
• Develop annual business plans and identify key activities and priorities.
• Implement and communicate operational strategies and solutions aligned with business plans.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs, internal controls (SOX), and quality systems.
• Partner with inventory leaders to meet regional inventory needs and goals.
• Set and monitor operational budgets.
• Provide guidance to ensure business continuity and recovery plans are met.
• Ensure operational policies and procedures are appropriate to business.
