Job summary

South Star JCB is seeking a hands-on Director of Operations to oversee branch, parts, and service operations across current and future locations.

The role will manage Branch, Parts, and Service Managers and their teams to drive revenue, efficiency, customer satisfaction, and net profitability. The position requires strategic oversight and strong leadership across Texas/Oklahoma markets with up to 50% travel from the DFW base.

Qualifications

• Extensive leadership experience in heavy/construction equipment dealerships or related operations.
• Proven track record managing multi-location P&Ls, budgets, revenue, margins and expenses.
• Strong analytical, pricing, inventory, and budgeting skills.
• Deep knowledge of construction equipment, diesel engines, and service operations.
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency with Excel and dealership software; JCB IntelliDealer preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own branch and departmental P&Ls, budgets, revenue, margins, expenses, and profitability.
• Lead, develop, and hold managers accountable for operational and employee performance.
• Improve service productivity, turnaround times, billing, quality, and warranty recovery.
• Oversee parts purchasing, stocking, inventory accuracy, turnover, and interbranch logistics.
• Standardize processes, track KPIs, and drive performance improvements.
• Grow parts and service revenue through customer retention and business development.
• Recruit, develop, and retain managers, technicians, and support staff.
• Resolve customer escalations and maintain supplier relationships.
