Job summary

UMass Chan Medical School is seeking a Director of Operations in Westborough, MA. This exempt, full-time role reports to the Executive Director, Disability Evaluation Services and drives strategic operations, financial management, and program governance for multiple departments.

The role oversees operation teams, contract compliance, and HR initiatives, coordinating with finance and shared services to optimize performance and ensure adherence to budgets and SLAs.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or equivalent in business, health or science administration, planning or related field.
• 7–9 years in health care administration or related field with management experience.
• Strong business acumen and familiarity with operational best practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic planning, financial planning and service integration for assigned units.
• Oversee business operating tools, workflows and staffing needs for departments.
• Collaborate with Finance to review statements, measure productivity and drive cost optimization.
• Develop internal procedures and productivity reporting aligned with organizational goals.
• Lead program operations and ensure compliance with ISA deliverables.
