Job summary

Goodwin Recruiting is seeking an experienced Director of Operations for a growing restaurant concept in the Dallas area. The role starts with direct responsibility for daily operations at one location and offers the opportunity to expand into multi-unit leadership as the company grows.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of restaurant ops leadership, including 5+ years in multi-unit roles, with strong P&L and financial management skills, and hands-on GM experience.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of restaurant operational leadership experience, including 5+ years in multi-unit leadership.
• QSR or chicken-concept experience preferred; strong hands-on GM background.
• Proven ability to develop restaurant teams and improve performance.
• Strong financial acumen, including P&L, labor, food cost, and budgeting.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily restaurant operations with focus on quality, service, and consistency.
• Hire, train, and coach restaurant managers and team members.
• Oversee P&L, budgets, labor, food cost, inventory and operating expenses.
• Build systems and procedures to drive accountability and performance.
• Foster a hospitality-driven, results-oriented culture.
• Partner with senior leaders on strategic growth and new openings.
• Develop future General Managers and plan for multi-unit expansion.

We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Director of Operations for a growing restaurant concept with exciting opportunities for expansion. This is an opportunity for a strong operator who enjoys developing people, improving performance, and building the systems needed to support long-term growth.

Initially, this leader will take direct responsibility for the daily operations of one restaurant, with the opportunity to transition into broader multi-unit leadership as the company expands.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily restaurant operations, ensuring exceptional food quality, service, and operational consistency
• Hire, train, coach, and develop restaurant managers and team members
• Oversee P&L performance, budgets, labor, food cost, inventory, and operating expenses
• Establish effective systems, procedures, and accountability to improve operational performance
• Build a positive, results-driven culture focused on teamwork, hospitality, and execution
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, profitability, and guest satisfaction
• Partner with senior leadership on operational strategy and growth initiatives
• Develop future General Managers and support new restaurant openings
• Transition into broader multi-unit oversight as the company expands

Qualifications

• 10+ years of restaurant operational leadership experience, including 5+ years in multi-unit leadership
• QSR or chicken-concept experience required; both strongly preferred
• Strong hands-on General Manager experience
• Proven success developing restaurant teams and improving operational performance
• Strong financial acumen, including P&L, labor, food cost, inventory, and budgeting
• Experience implementing systems, processes, and operational standards
• Ability to lead directly in the restaurant while building for future growth
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Restaurant opening experience a plus
