VCI Construction is seeking a Director of Operations Management to provide leadership across construction operations, project management, design & engineering, and field crews.

The role emphasizes strategic planning, financial oversight, and ensuring safety and quality across multiple markets. Travel to field sites in Southern California and Nevada is required, with a competitive wage range and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of operations leadership experience in construction or telecommunications.
• Proven experience managing large field teams and multiple locations.
• Strong analytical, decision-making, and leadership abilities.
• Willingness to travel 50%+ to field offices in Southern CA and Nevada.

Responsibilities

• Operational Leadership: lead construction operations, project management, design & engineering, and field crews across markets.
• Strategic Planning: develop and implement construction management strategies to increase productivity and achieve delivery goals.
• Financial Oversight: monitor budgets, review financials, manage job costing, and optimize resource allocation.
• Project Management: oversee backlog and ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to high quality standards.
• Safety & Quality Assurance: enforce safety practices and quality standards across operations, compliant with OSHA and regulations.
• Team & Talent Management: work with HR to hire, mentor, and train personnel to sustain a high-performance culture.
• Vendor & Subcontractor Management: manage procurement, inventory, and subcontractor compliance.
• Customer & Stakeholder Relations: build and maintain relationships with customers and partners to identify long-term opportunities.
