Job summary

TASC, a Chicago-based nonprofit focused on behavioral health and justice integration, seeks a Director of Operations for the Community Reentry division. You will lead operations, budgeting, and cross-functional initiatives to support clients returning to families and communities after incarceration.

The role emphasizes SOP development, data reporting, stakeholder engagement, and ensuring contract deliverables are met with high-quality service delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
• 7+ years’ experience in criminal justice and/or substance use/mental health treatment field.
• 5+ years in progressively responsible middle to senior management roles in nonprofit or government settings.
• Knowledge of business/management, strategic planning, and resource allocation.
• Understanding of laws, regulations, and contracting in public sector programs.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, develop, and direct the Community Reentry operations.
• Lead budget development and monitor program expenditures.
• Ensure SOPs align with contract requirements and best practices.
• Maintain relationships with partner agencies, funders, and government officials.
• Oversee data collection, reporting, and KPI analyses.
• Coordinate with QA to prepare for audits and implement corrective actions.
• Recruit, supervise, and develop division staff; conduct annual performance reviews.
• Ensure licensing, accreditation, and regulatory compliance.
