This allows us to to offer high quality food fast and solidifies Vale as a Premium Fast Casual Restaurant.

We have 10 restaurant locations throughout the State of FL ( Two in Tallahassee, Gainesville, Tampa, Jacksonville, Fort Lauderdale, Brickell, Pinecrest, Boca Raton, Delray Beach )

We are looking for a DRIVEN Director of Operations to join our new leadership team as we expand across FLORIDA!

Our Director of Operations is the Head Coach to our Restaurant General Managers!

  • Developing internal succession plan and a deep bench of managers at all levels of store operations by developing General Managers and the ability to identify “raw” talent. Candidate will have a clear understanding of how to move capability and performance and a sense of urgency to do so.
  • Developing and coaching an understanding of the Vale Food Co profile and driving recruitment of high-potential internal and external talent.
  • Driving continuous performance improvement focusing on leading indicators and established key metrics. Candidate will be balanced in their approach focusing on people, financial, and customer experience metrics equally.
  • Meeting/exceeding annual P&L objectives with a primary focus on top-line sales, productivity, and production management.
  • Driving top-line sales performance by fostering customer connections through community marketing, throughput and technology initiatives, new product launches and an in-depth merchandising mentality.
  • Training, coaching, and inspiring all locations to deliver exceptional customer experiences and high quality culinary operations ensuring a commitment to Vale Food Co operational policies and procedures.
  • Leading General Manager development both personally and professionally through goal setting, coaching and feedback, and an innate understanding of what makes people tick, always connecting development to improved performance.
  • Developing strong cross-functional partnerships that ensure the right support is provided to the stores to improve performance and remove barriers to focusing on the customer, people, and results.
  • Fostering a positive, team-oriented environment with a healthy competitive spirit that ensures the sharing of best practices and a commitment to goal achievement.
  • Fostering and growing strong community connections within each restaurant neighborhood by leading General Managers to develop brand ambassadors and maximizing Vale Food Co community-based programs.

What you've got:

  • 5+ years' experience in restaurant management
  • Experience in fast casual restaurant chains (preferred)
  • Managed and developed 25+ team members per shift
  • P&L, COGS, Developing Budgets, Financial Planning and Strategy, Decision Making, Process Improvement, Strategic Planning, Labor/Scheduling, Training & Team Development, Quality Focus
  • Experience in Food Safety + Planning
  • Regional Manager's Food Safety Certification required (ServSafe Manager's Certification)
  • Ability to coordinate multiple tasks such as food, beverage + labor cost while maintaining required standards of operation in daily restaurant activities
  • Must possess good communication skills for dealing with diverse staff
  • Coachable: actively looks for feedback to grow and improve
  • Self-starters: takes initiative, thinks of the big picture, relays store needs and communicates with the team
  • Customer service-oriented: Passion for the guest experience, service driven
  • Innovative: utilizes and designs business processes with the customer, community and company in mind
